디지털 이미지를 재료로 개인의 기억 속 이미지를 역추적하는 과정을 회화, 설치를 통해 보여줍니다. 온라인 상에서 떠도는 많은 이미지들을 실체 없이 부유하는 존재들이라 보고, 실제로 체험한 개인적 경험의 기호들과 실체 없는 이미지들 사이의 연결고리를 캔버스 위에서 마련하려 합니다. 드로잉을 활용한 거친 표현 행위는 디지털 정보와 연결됩니다. 추상적인 드로잉과 연관된 이미지들을 검색해 찾아내어 이를 캔버스 안에 직접적으로 등장하게 하는 방식은 그리고자 하는 대상이 무엇인지 거꾸로 찾아가는 재탐색의 과정으로 볼 수 있습니다.

Yuna Jung explores the process of retracing personal memories through painting and installation, using digital images as material. Viewing the many images floating online as intangible entities, she aims to establish a connection on canvas between these elusive beings and the symbols of personal experiences she has actually encountered. The rough expressive act, utilizing drawing, is intertwined with digital information. The method of searching for and discovering images associated with abstract drawings, and then directly incorporating them onto the canvas, can be seen as a process of re-exploration, retracing what the intended subject is in reverse.
